Occupational Therapist, Alyssa Bowser, is carefully designing this set of 4 wellness series classes as an offering to the Church of the Ascension. Each class will include highly adaptable exercise sequence to improve and maintain balance, strength, and flexibility for the confidence and safety needed to live independently and prevent injury.

Alyssa specializes in home assessments, home modification consulting, and client and caregiver training for highest participation in desired and required activities. She guides her practice through evidence-based, patient-focused interventions and a passion for preventative care. Her personal experience with being the ‘sandwich generation’ gives her unique insights and deep understanding of the complex and dynamic relationship in caring for aging parents while raising young children. She has devoted the majority of her practice to clients who want to age in place and their children who desperately want them to remain safe. She applies her 28 years of professional experience from multiple health care settings to compassion in action!

  • June 15th, 2020 at 11am – “Fall Proofing Our Homes and Ourselves”
  • June 22nd, 2020 at 11am – “Daily Routines & Preventative Care”
  • June 29th, 2020 at 11am – “The Value Of A Wellness Journal”

*Each class will include a related Tai Chi or other exercise sequence
